Confident Voices Offer Preventing Burnout Control Services

You can prevent burnout by knowing the importance of the human connection with the patients. Then, create and take the time to be present, to notice the moments when you made that connection. What is the essential point you think about nursing? What is vital to you when it comes to patient care? Is it connecting with the unique human being? Is it relieving the suffering? Is it the smile of welcome or gratitude of a patient or family?

Think about the day when you go home exhausted and felt good inside about something you did for or experienced with a patient. What stands out in your mind at those moments that make them unique to you?

In preventing burnout among doctors and nurses workshops, we ask nurses to draw an image of what nursing is about for them. Rarely do those images contain pills, IVs, charts, or even hospital beds. Instead, nearly all the pictures contain:

Hearts.

Hands clasped with one another.

Smiling faces.

Symbols of connection between human beings.

It is what nurses value most.Preventing medical errors services have solid values for life, caring, support, love, comfort, listening, connecting, etc. Working on these values is what makes nurses come alive. You can take time to notice the moments you connect and live your value to meet human needs. Be aware of being present with other people while busy doing the day's tasks. Breathe in those conditions and feel your heart expand. Feel the difference you are making.
